Brad Farmerie is competing on The Next Iron Chef. He was raised in Pittsburgh and credits much of his success to his mother. He left the field of mechanical engineering only to realize the cooking he did to make money, was actually the passion of his life. He has since studied the fines cuisines and wines of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and more. He settled in the United Kingdom in the 1990s landing several prestigious honors, including working with Peter Gordon at the Sugar Club. In the 2000s he moved back into the U.S. and worked at the cutting edge AvroKO-designed Public. In 2008, he landed a position as executive chef of the Double Crown, Madam Geneva, Public and The Monday Room in New York.
